The basic problem with Ticketmaster is that what they call their Mobile system is really an implementation of NFC. Still a rarity except on top-end phones.

Near-Field Communication.

Different frequency from Bluetooth. Only installed on the top end phones.

Ticketmaster sells tickets through any PC or iPod or old iPhone or Android. But for the big arenas, hockey stadiums, et. al. you have to do NFC which means acquiring use of a new iPhone or a new Samsung. Only NFC. Only after transferring tickets.

Under New Jersey law that is a fraud. Related to cancelling tickets and reselling them at higher prices. Before the law was changed, that was a recurring problem. Delivered tickets must be honored. Ticketmaster refuses to comply. If you get ripped off avoid Customer Service in favor of Small Claims Court (however named in your area) and ask for ticket price plus $2,000 punitive. Crapping on customers needs to be discouraged.
