Wolf’s Rain talks about an ancient legend that is now remembered when the world is coming to an end. The legend says that when the world will end, a gate to Paradise will open. Surprisingly, wolves do exist in the world but have disguised themselves as humans, and one among them is a lone wolf Kiba, who is currently being driven to Freeze city because of an intoxicating fragrance. Freeze is a town created by Lord Orkham, also the current ruler of it. 

In the new city, Kiba runs into more wolves named Hige, Tsume, along with Toboe, who were drawn in a similar way to the town. The scent is said to be coming from ‘Lunar Flowers’. It is also a key to opening the door of their paradise. From there on, these four decide on a journey across various landscapes and crushing cities in search of their promised legendary land.
