How to fix Vizio Error Code 2901_1?

Here are a few solutions that help you fix the VIZIO error code 2901_1.

Network Test

First of all, you’ll need to check if your TV is connected to your network. Thus, navigate to the Network Menu and select Test Connection.

If the network test shows that the network isn’t connected, or if the connected speed is 0 or unavailable, it means that the problem is with your internet connection.

Since the issue might be with your internet connection, try restarting your modem and router or try using a different network and see if this helps.

Menu Language

If the network test shows that the network is connected, then all you need to do is to exit the current menu by simply selecting the Back Button on your VIZIO remote and then choosing System.

Now, choose the Menu Language and use the right or left arrow keys to switch it to other languages like French or Spanish. You’ll see the SmartCast home screen attempt to reload behind the menu. Once it is done loading, you can switch back to English.

Factory Reset

If the SmartCast input is still not loading even after changing the language, then you’ll have to reset your television because by doing so, it’ll erase the custom settings that you have.

But before doing the factory reset, it is better to click the picture of your calibration settings or any other customization so that you can easily change them back.

Follow the steps to know how to factory reset:

  1. Press the Menu button on your VIZIO TV remote.
  2. Tap on Admin & Privacy. You can find this option under System. So, depending on how your model is, you’ll see the option.
  3. Now, select Reset TV to Factory Settings or simply Clear Memory to reset your TV to Factory settings.

Once you’re done finishing the TV reset, you’ll see your TV as if you are using it for the first time.
