That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is about 37-year-old Satoru Mikami, your ordinary corporate employee who is living a perfectly boring lifestyle in Tokyo, and he has never been able to get a girlfriend in his life.

But, his life takes a sudden turn then after encountering a colleague, he becomes a victim to a random Oslund Anna stabbed on the street. 

While dealing with his injuries, a voice starts to echo in his mind, uttering some commands which he simply can’t figure out. After gaining consciousness, he finds himself reincarnated as a slime in an unknown world. The next thing he discovers is his new ability through which he can imitate different appearances and abilities.

Satoru further comes across a sealed catastrophic-level monster Valdora, a storm dragon who has been sealed for over 300 years for destroying a town to its wits.

He feels sympathy for him and promises to help him in destroying the seal. In return, Valdora takes a vow to grant him divine protection. 

Taking the form of a new body, Rimuru starts a new life with a certain goal in mind. While growing familiarized with his new body, his personality is talked about throughout the world – all while altering his fate.

The Rising of the Shield Hero talks about 4 cardinal heroes who are summoned to the kingdom of Melromarc to become its saviors.

The country is affected by disasters, bringing catastrophe to citizens for centuries. The heroes are then given a sword, bow, shield, and spear to defeat these waves of disaster. Then we have Naofumi Iwatani, an Otaku who is cursed of becoming the shield hero.

Naofumi is looked down upon because he is armed with only a shield. While the heroes are given resources on comrades to train with, Naofumi is set on training with the only person willing to help him – Malty Melromarc. 

But, unfortunately, he is betrayed by her, heavily discriminated against, and hated by the people of the kingdom. He is now enraged with mistrust in his heart and so he begins a journey of becoming strong on his own and strengthening his reputation.

To make things easier, along the way he buys a demi-human slave named Raphtalia to help him travel across the kingdom. Further in the story, the duo is set to fight against the waves of destruction and protect the people of Melromarc.

Since he is a gamer, he immediately chooses to live in a fantasy world, and right after starting a new life, Kazuma is given the task to defeat a demon king who is disturbing villages.

However, before starting with the task, he has the option to choose anything to help him in the quest and the new hero chooses Aqua. But, to his dismay, he finds out that Aqua is of no use.

Unfortunately, his problems don’t end there because it turns out that living in a fantasy world is way too different from knowing how to play it as a game.

Before going on interesting adventures, the two have to first work to pay for their living expenses and this is just the start of his misfortunes.

But, his happiness comes to an end when Rachel leaves him to climb the tower. He is heartbroken and then promises himself to follow after her and sets on a journey to climb the top of the tower.

Tower of God is one of the most interesting anime like Log Horizon and Overlord because, although it doesn’t have the Isekai concept, it still includes some dark fantasies and adventures to reach the top of the tower.

These soldiers are to eradicate all enemies who are threatening the peace of the New World called Grimgar. When all the strongest candidates join together, the left ones have to create a party together to survive.

The current party includes a charismatic head – Manato, an anxious thief – Haruhiro, an enthusiastic hunter – Yume, a shy mage – Shihoru, a kind-hearted warrior – Moguzo along with a rowdy knight – Ranta. 

Although the world resembles a virtual reality game, the reality speaks that there are no redo or extra lives, you have to kill or be killed. The story further follows these unlikely fighters to join alliances and survive together in a world where life and death are separated by only a thin line.
