About Koe No Katachi

Grave of the Fireflies narrates a tale taking place when World War II came to an end in 1945 and Japan had to face a huge destruction in the form of an American bombing.

They have lost their parents, their home, and a goal of a bright future because of the war. Since they are homeless and orphans, the brother and the sister are forced to wander across the countryside and face starvation and diseases.
